As per the sources, a 25-year-old operationally ready national serviceman (NSman) has passed away on 02 March 2022 after falling in the course of a Health Promotion Board quick high-intensity interval training session at West Coast Park. As soon as the news come out, it went viral on social media and also made the headlines on almost every news channel. His family is in deep grief after getting the news of his death. NSman Death Cause
25 years old NSman has died on Wednesday in an accident. It happened when the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) NSman was participating in the session as part of the National Service Fitness Improvement Training (NS FIT) program. He collapsed at around 07:38 pm at the start of the main exercise following the completion of the warm-up, HPB and the Ministry of Defence said on Thursday. They said, “He was immediately attended to on-site by trainers who are from HPB’s external vendor.”
How did NSman die?
Additionally, the trainers who are automated external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) trained, administered AED and CPR on the participant. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was reported to the incident at 07:41 pm and reached at 07:55 pm. The man was immediately taken to National University Hospital in the ambulance. MINDEF and HPB said, “The SCDF continued resuscitative efforts on-site as well as en route to the hospital. The ambulance arrived at NUH at 8.23 pm and he was pronounced dead at 9.21 pm.”
After the incident, all HPB Quick HIIT sessions have been suspended until 06 March, also the investigation of the case has been ongoing. We hope that God will give strength to his family and friends.
