As per the reports, the younger brother of Anwar named Rusli Ibrahim died of natural causes on 01 March 2022, Tuesday at 02:20 pm. He took his last breath at Selayang Hospital where he was admitted for several weeks. He was 74 years old at the time of his death, so the cause of his death might be age-related health issues. His funeral was scheduled to be held at a Muslim cemetery around Ampang, however, before being buried, his remains were taken to the Al-Ubudiah mosque.

Anwar Ibrahim is a Malaysian politician who was born on 10 August 1947 in Bukit Mertajam, Malayalan Union. He has served as the 12th and 16th Leader of the Opposition.
