A tragic shooting spree has killed as many as six people in Denver. Alicia Cardenas was also one of the victims who got brutally killed on Monday, December 27, 2021. As per the reports, the incident took place near 1st and Broadway outside Sol Tribe, the tattoo shop of Alicia Cardenas. On Monday she was shot and killed afterwards brutally. Sara King paid tributes to the late artist and said that she can not believe that she has gone. She added that the fact that it all occurred in her business itself, makes the incident even sadder. Talking about Alicia, Sara King said that she met the tattoo artist in 2016 when she visited Sol Tribe to get her first tattoo. Ever since the duo became good friends and even decided to open a tattoo shop.

Sara emotionally stated that she is glad that she got tattooed by her as this way she will always be close to her and added that although she has always been with her, this way it would be more meaningful. According to her website, since 1999, Alicia was associated with National Safety Council as an instructor. There, she taught aspiring tattoo artists and piercers about blood-borne pathogens. Besides, Alicia served for the Association of Professional Piercers on the board of directors too. She used to call this position one of her proudest achievements.
Apart from being a renowned tattoo artist, Alicia Cardenas was a muralist as well. She had painted dozens of murals in Denver and appreciated art until she was alive. Alicia’s father mourned his daughter’s shocking death on Tuesday as he visited Sol Tribe Tattoo. the 44-year-old is survived by her 12-year-old daughter and her father who is in a deep state of shock. Talking about the incident, the Lakewood police stated that they got the information of the fire being shot at Colfax Ave and Kipling St at 6 PM. They have not revealed the other victims’ identities yet while they have been looking for the suspect behind the incident.
