In the year 2021, arrest warrants for YFN Lucci were released in Atlanta, Georgia. He was charged with a December 2020 shooting where a 28-year-old man passed away, and another was wounded. As per the reports, James Adams, 28, was one of the men in the vehicle who opened fire, was shot in the head, and killed after an exchange of gunfire. Another man, Kevin Wright (32-years-old) was shot in the stomach and was rushed to a local fire station in another automobile. Apart from being a suspect in the shooting, he was also charged with exacerbated assault and participation in criminal street gang activity. The songwriter was then detained on 13th January 2021 where he turned himself in to the police.

He was then released on house arrest after posting around a $500,000 bond on the 8th of February, 2021. The 31-year-old is also among 12 suspects charged in a 105-count RICO accusation. The charges include

As per the Atlanta Police Department, Lucci was a member of a faction of the Bloods. His lawyer later rejected the charges, and a Fulton County judge rejected him a bond on the 1st of June, 2021.
