However, the Suffolk County Police handcuffed him based on a complaint registered in 2021.
Talking about the incident, Rodney Harrison, the Suffolk Police Commissioner stated, “Today’s announcement of the arrest of a Babylon school teacher for rape is disturbing. The rape occurred off school grounds, however, the victim indicated there was inappropriate physical contact while at the school.” He was the lacrosse coach for the girls’ and teachers’ teams at the time.
In 2021, the police have lodged a complaint about a sexual relationship between Harrison and a teenage student from the Babylon School District. After an investigation, he was arrested on 03 March at a traffic spot on the Robert Moses Causeway. He was booked with two counts of rape in the third degree and one count of a criminal s*x act. Currently, he is under police custody at Suffolk County’s First Precinct. He is ordered to appear at First District Court in Central Islip.
