A video of a Ukrainian child’s performance of “Let It Go” is captivating people across the globe.
In the video, a young girl is in what appears to be a dimly lit bomb shelter, quietly singing the opening lines to the “Frozen” song at the encouragement of someone off-camera.
As the others watch, she begins to sing more loudly, and then starts belting the chorus. She grins through her audience’s rapturous applause.
The now-viral video has circulated online, where it caught the attention of “Frozen” star Idina Menzel, who voiced Elsa in the 2013 Disney movie.
“We see you. We really, really see you,” Menzel tweeted in response to the video, which was reshared by journalist Ankita Jain.
Marta Smekhova, who first posted the video on Facebook on March 3, said that the little girl’s name is Amelia and that she recorded the video with her mother’s permission.
