Kenny Pickett injury update

Kenny Pickett injury update – Steelers QB has surgery on high-ankle sprain, expected to miss multiple weeks

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett is expected to miss time due to an ankle injury suffered in the team’s recent loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The injury occurred during the second quarter of the game, forcing Pickett to exit. Veteran quarterback Mitchell Trubisky took over for Pickett and is expected to start in the upcoming Week 14 Thursday night game against the New England Patriots.

Pickett, in his second year, has been a key player for the Steelers, leading them to a 7-5 record this season. He has thrown for 2,070 yards, six touchdowns, and four interceptions. The ankle injury occurred during a scramble near the goal line, and Pickett was initially deemed questionable to return before being ruled out.

Head coach Mike Tomlin stated that the team will continue with Trubisky as the starting quarterback during Pickett’s absence. Trubisky, a seven-year veteran with a Pro Bowl appearance, will aim to maintain the Steelers’ position in the AFC playoff race.
