Welcome To Waikiki is a Korean drama of 20 episodes aired from February 5, 2018 to April 17, 2018, on the jTBC channel in Korea. Now, it is available worldwide to watch on Netflix & Viki.

Summary –

Three men Dong Gu, Du Shik & Jun Ki along with Seo Jin runs a guesthouse named “Waikiki Guesthouse” to collect money for their film. Things go differently when a single mother enters the house with her baby. Later, Dong Gu’s ex-girlfriend also lives in the house. The drama revolves around these six characters.

Main Characters

Kim Jung Hyun plays the role of “Kang Dong Gu” who dreams of becoming a movie director. Picking himself up after a painful breakup, he starts working again. He falls for Yoon Ah.

Lee Yi Kyung plays the role of “Lee Joon Ki” who is the funniest character in the drama. He is the son of an A-list actor who wants to follow the footsteps of his father but is stuck in minor roles.

Son Seung Won plays the role of “Bong Doo Shik” who is a freelance writer who barely receives work. He currently works in a convenience store and passes his time away writing a web story.

Ko Won Hee plays the role of “Kang Seo Jin” who is Dong Gu’s sister & wants to be a journalist. Her facial hair is a source of embarrassment and she has to shave it regularly.

Jung In Sun plays the role of “Han Yoon Ah” who is a single mother who ends up staying in the guesthouse with her daughter Sol in exchange for helping out.

Lee Joo Woo plays the role of “Min Soo Ah” who is Dong Gu’s ex-girlfriend, a famous model. (SP!) She ends up staying in the guesthouse when her new boyfriend ran away with all her money.

You will get to see a lot of funny scenes. Some of them include the car scene (this is where you will hear gwenchana gwenchana), Joon Ki’s acting scenes, Yoon Ah’s rapping, fake wedding & many more.
