A subway train under One World Trade Center recently malfunctioned, post which the entire station got filled with smoke, and the incident brought a dread wave. Well, the shocking incident happened on Monday 14th Feb 2022, reportedly. However, no one got injured in the incident and not even any casualties happened but still, trains have been delayed by the time and the biggest reason behind the panic, biggest reason is, spot or location because Manhattan subway station is the one that has been the target for terrorist attacks.
As per the statement said by a spokesperson for the MTA includes the crew was running a southbound 4 train as per the reports and suddenly they heard a loud noise followed by smoke around 7:23 p.m. local time. Inside talks are also saying that the train must had collided with something post which this happened. However, no casualties and fire happened so far but people got panicked just because of the smoke that was seeming like the station has seized by the terrorists. Some of the people are even saying that the track must be caught fire therefore it happened. Although an investigation is still going on because the reason has not yet been identified, although authorities believe it was caused by a technical fault.
Plenty of the commuters has shared the images of the station which shows how smoke clouds occupied the entire station and scared people right there. In the shared clips you can see how even the pilot running and people are trying to flee the platform while some are running upstairs and some are screaming in scaredly and some are only standing in shock thinking what just happened. We would like to let you know that One World Trade Center is the only main structure of the World Trade Center, that was rebuilt after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
As plenty of people is sharing images and showing their fear after the shocking incident, many are commenting on what they felt at the time. One of the passengers wrote, “it straight up caught on fire under us and we all evacuated in like a bit of a mob panic and we rushed out through the smoke”.
