As we all know that Maharashtra and Marathas have a deep and prolonged history. The name of some valour Maratha warrior has been written in gold in our history who just denied the term impossible and turns the tabled with the extreme clever mindset and immense courage. Pawankhind is also depicting the tale of one of the significant events of history. The movie is narrating the story of the last stand that took place on 13 July 1660 by a Maratha warrior Baji Prabhu Deshpande and Siddi Masud of Adilshah Sultanate. The battle took place between them popularly known as the Battle of Pavan Khind.

Pawankhind received a remarkable response from the audience in the theatres. The movie scheduled to release on 18 February 2022 is still keeping the audience at the edge of their seats even on its second week. As we mentioned above that the movie is rigid in its rank and it is standing strong even after facing tough competition from multiple new releases. It is being assumed that the movie will manage to rake more than Rs 20 crores by the end of its 2nd week.
Besides, it is one of those movies that got badly affected by pandemics as the movie was initially scheduled for its theatrical release on 10th June 2021 but then postponed to 31st December 2021 but postponed again.
