Charges Explained: On Sunday, 27th February 2022, The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department apprehended one of their own on 2 counts of robbery. The arrest has happened at a Las Vegas casino. The 33-years-old, Caleb Mitchell Rogers was also lodged on charges of assault and burglary with a deadly weapon. Las Vegas Metro stated they received a call at around 06:56 AM of a robbery at a Casino near South Valley Boulevard and West Flamingo Road which is about a half-mile west of Interstate 15. Caleb Rogers is in custody. He is assigned to the Community Policing Division, Bolden Area Command. Cops apprehended Rogers following a reported robbery at the Rio Hotel and Casino sportsbook near the Las Vegas Strip just prior to 07:00 AM Sunday morning. He was transported to the Clark County Detention Center and was charged with burglary with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, and 2 counts of robbery with a deadly weapon.
Sources inform the I-Team cops also believe he could be connected to an armed robbery at Red Rock Casino Resort on 12th November and an armed robbery near Aliante and the 215 on 6th January in North Las Vegas. Cops had issued photos from both crimes and asked for the help of the public. Steve Grammas, president of Las Vegas Police Protective Association (LVPPA), informed the I-Team that he is aware of the accusations against Rogers.

He has not spoken to Rogers, and since the alleged crimes are believed to have happened off duty, Grammas says Rogers will not be represented by the police union in his criminal case. Grammas believes the accusations are not indicative of police officers, further adding that “If he is guilty, we want to watch him prosecuted to the entire extent of the law and maybe more, as he is an officer.”
Rogers has been an officer since the year 2015 and was assigned to community policing in the Bolden Area Command, which is about a mile north of where the claimed robbery occurred. Las Vegas Metro stated that he is suspended sans pay pending the criminal and civilian probe. Rogers is due in court Monday morning at 09:00 AM.
