The legendary actor has come up with his latest sports drama titled ‘Jhund’. The film has been scheduled for its theatrical release on 4th March 2022 and it seems that it getting immense stiff competition from alongside release Gangubai Kathiawadi featuring Alia Bhatt in the titular role. According to the latest box office collection, Jhund witnessed a slow start at the box office and started its box office collection with Rs 1 crore. However, even after facing huge competition the film managed to experience growth on its second day and minted Rs 1.50 crores. It is being assumed that the movie will manage to retain its decent pace throughout its first week. As per the reports, the film has obtained a total box office collection of Rs 2.40 crores so far.

It has been noticed that the movie is doing well in Maharashtra circuits as the earning of the movie is quite well compared to other circuits. Well, most lately the state government allowed 100% occupancy in the theatres and all the movies are taking complete advantage of this opportunity received by these movies after a long time. But at the same time while taking advantage of full occupancy it is also getting competition from Marathi movie Pawankhind doing wonders at the box office even in its third week. The movie might manage to achieve success even after facing all the odds with the double competition.

After delivering a blockbuster like ‘Sairat’ the director Nagraj Manjule entered Bollywood marking Jhund as its Bollywood directorial debut. Although Jhund was one of those films that got affected by Pandemic as the release date of the movie has been postponed multiple times and now it settle down with 4 March to commence its theatrical journey.

The story of the movie centres around Vijay Borade essayed by Amitabh Bachchan inspires the street children to form a football team. The film was bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the production banner of T-Series. The film is loosely based on the real-life events of the Football Team Slum Soccer.
