Dr. Ajmal Niazi has pa***ed away

Prominent Pakistani intellectual and columnist Ajmal Niazi has died at the age of 74. After the funeral prayers, Asr prayers will be offered at Wahdat Colony Ground. He died between 2 pm on Sunday and Monday night. Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan Niazi was also given Sitara-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan.

He was born on September 16, 1947, in Musa Khel, Mianwali District. He served as a lecturer in the Urdu department of Gordon College, Rawalpindi. Along with Government College, Lahore, and FC College, Mianwali also continued to provide teaching services.

Dr. Jamal Niazi started his journalistic journey as an editor of Government College Lahore’s magazine ‘Ravi’ while he was also the editor of the monthly ‘Peter’.

For a long time, he also wrote a column in a well-known national newspaper called ‘Be Niyaziyaan’. Former President Asif Ali Zardari awarded him Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his excellent columnism. He is survived by a widow Rifat Niazi, two sons Ha***an Khan Niazi, Salman Khan Niazi, and a daughter.
